Finding the perfect collar for your dog is more than a style choice — it's about comfort, safety, and longevity. A well-fitted collar should sit snugly around the base of your dog's neck with just enough room for two fingers to slip underneath comfortably.
Measuring Your Dog
Use a soft fabric tape measure and wrap it around the base of your dog's neck. Add 2–3cm for comfort. If your dog is between sizes, always size up.
Collar Width by Breed
Smaller breeds like French Bulldogs suit narrower collars (1–2cm wide), while larger breeds like Labradors look best in wider collars (2.5–4cm). Wider collars distribute pressure more evenly, which is especially important for dogs that pull on the lead.
Material Matters
Full-grain leather collars, like those in the Pawlique range, soften and mould to your dog's neck over time. Avoid stiff or synthetic materials that can cause chafing during long walks.
